    Itinerary

    Day 1Arrive New Delhi

    Our representative will greet you with fresh marigold flower garlands at Indira Gandhi International Airport & arrange transfer to the Hotel.

    Day 2New Delhi – Agra

    In the morning, we proceed for a half day sightseeing tour Old & New Delhi visiting the Qutab Minar – Qutab Minar, the 239ft sandstone tower is an Indo-Islamic architectural wonder of ancient India. The complex has a number of other important monuments- the gateway built in 1310, also visit the Humanyun’s tomb – One of the most spectacular Mughal buildings, Humanyun’s tomb was added to UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 1993. Built by Haji Hamida Bano Begum, the widow of Humanyun’s, the second Mughal Emperor, the mausoleum is known to the precursor of world famous Taj Mahal. Built with a cost of one and a half million rupees, the monument heralded the construction of garden-tombs on the Indian subcontinent & lastly drive through Rashtrapati Bhawan, India Gate & other important government buildings. Afternoon, drive to Agra (205 kms / 3 hrs approximately). Arrive Agra and transfer to the hotel. Afternoon half day sightseeing of Agra visiting the Taj Mahal, Agra fort and other important monuments .

    Day 3Agra-Orchha-Khajuraho

    Early morning, board train to Jhansi with air-conditioned chair-car of Shatabdi Express departing at 8 am. Arrive in Jhansi train station & drive to Orchha. Visit the two Hindu temples and the Bundela Rajput Fort before lunch. On arrival in Khajuraho check-in the Hotel.

    Day 4Khajuraho

    Breakfast at the Hotel, After breakfast full day sightseeing tour of Khajuraho temples. Khajuraho temples were constructed between 950 and 1050 A.D. during the reign of Chandel Empire. These temples are considered the “high point” of Indian architectural genius in the medieval period. Originally there were 85 temples, of which only 22 still exist. It was only in this century, that they were rediscovered, restored and granted the World Heritage Site recognition that they justly deserve. The murals depict the life and times of the Chandelas, and celebrate the erotic state of being. Overnight in Hotel.

    Day 5Khajuraho-Bandavgarh

    After breakfast drive to Bandavgarh (187 kilometers/ 6 hours approximately) Bandhavgarh National Park is located in Umaria district of Madhya Pradesh. Bandhavgarh was declared as a national park in 1968 when the Maharaja of Rewa handed over the area to the government for its formation. Bandhavgarh National Park consists of a core area of 105 square kilometers and a buffer area of approximately 400 square kilometers and its topography varies between steep ridges, undulating, forest and open meadows. Bandhavgarh National Park is also known for the white tiger country and has the highest tiger population density all over India. The first white Tiger (an albino) was found in the private hunting jungle of the Maharaja of Rewa. Check-in and overnight in Taj Mahua Kothi. (Bandhavgarh National Park is closed from July 1 to October 1).

    Day 6Bandhavgarh

    Early morning, Jeep safari at the national park for wildlife viewing. Afternoon Elephant safari for wildlife viewing at the national park. Overnight in the resort.

    Day 7Bandhavgarh-Kanha

    After breakfast drive to Kanha (250 kilometers / 5 hours approximately). Kanha’s Sal and bamboo forests, rolling grasslands and meandering streams stretch over 940 sq km in dramatic natural splendor. This is original Kipling country, of which he wrote so vividly in his Jungle Book. The same abundance of wildlife species exists today in Kanha National Park, which forms the core of the Kanha Tiger Reserve created in 1974 under Project Tiger. Arrive Kanha & transfer to the Resort.

    Day 8Kanha

    Early morning, Jeep safari in the national park for wildlife viewing. After lunch a second Jeep safari tour in the wildlife park. Overnight in the Resort.

    Day 9Kanha – Nagpur-Mumbai

    Early morning the last Jeep Safari in the National Park. After lunch drive 236 kilometers in about 5 hours to Nagpur. Arrive Nagpur and transfer to the Hotel to connect flight to Mumbai at 1720 hrs, reaches Mumbai at 1840 Hrs. Arrive Mumbai and board the flight back home.
